Philadelphia SmartCEO announces 2011 Brava! Women Business Achievement Awards winners!

Philadelphia, PA – June 1, 2011 – Philadelphia SmartCEO magazine, announced today the 2011 Philadelphia Brava! Women Business Achievement Award winners. Celebrating its second year, the Brava! Awards recognize the contributions of 25 female business leaders in the Philadelphia area. The impressive group of female CEOs runs companies that boast $2.6 billion in collective revenues and manage more than 6,300 employees in the Greater Philadelphia area.

The Annual Brava! Women Business Achievement Awards celebrate CEOs, founders, presidents, owners and executive directors who combine their irrepressible entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for giving back to the community across the Mid-Atlantic. These female CEOs have become exemplary leaders in their companies and the community by encouraging local philanthropy, mentoring fellow CEOs and setting their companies on the path to tremendous growth.

Over 250 nominations were submitted throughout the Mid-Atlantic. A selection committee of area business leaders was tasked with choosing the top 25.

Each 2011 Brava! Award honoree will be profiled in the July 2011 issue of Philadelphia SmartCEO magazine. Annually, SmartCEO shares their inspirational stories with over 15,000 local Philadelphia CEO readers in the July issue and celebrates the group with a cocktail reception. Over 400 local CEOs and business leaders will join SmartCEO to recognize and applaud the 2011 Philadelphia Brava! winners at The Merion the evening of Thursday, July 21.

In an effort to continue to enhance the Brava! program’s mission of building a strong community of women leaders through mentorship and business development, SmartCEO is also recognizing past honorees with the Brava! Hall of Fame. One woman from the class of 2010 will be inducted into the Hall of Fame and announced during the Brava! Awards presentation July 21.
